‘The Amazing Race 27’ episode 4 preview: Double U-Turn drama in Africa

Amazing Race -

As a whole, we’d consider Friday’s “Amazing Race” episode our least-favorite of the season, even though we are only three episodes in. We don’t mind legs that stay in the same country, but what’s the point of doing it if you don’t ever give someone a chance to catch up? We’re going to be bummed about Ernest & Jin being gone for a long time.

Next week, the remaining teams are going to be heading to Africa, and while we’re sure that there will be a variety of interesting tasks there, one thing was made clear in the preview tonight: This is really all about the Double U-Turn. Tanner & Josh made it a priority to get Justin & Diana on that board, telling any team who U-Turned them that they will receive the other Express Pass. It’s a great incentive.

Of course, the problem is that so long as #TheGreenTeam arrive at the U-Turn mat in any position other than last, they will have a chance to just hit whoever is behind them. What really needs to be done if you want to ensure that they leave is the following:

-You need to make sure that they are not close to the front of the pack.

-You need to U-Turn a team that is either in front of you, or someone who you think is ahead of them. It’s complicated.

Ultimately, we think that one way or another, Justin & Diana will persevere. Given that we like the entertainment that they bring, this is very much a good thing.
