‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: New footage abounds in latest CW promo

The premiere of “Arrow” is now eight days away, and with that, The CW is handing down a new gift: One of their latest promos, and one that actually contains new footage.

Sure, there are some clips in here that you have seen in a few other places; we’re pretty sure that Felicity with the machine gun is in every promo known to mankind at this point. Still, it is rather awesome / imposing to see Damien Darhk doing more of what he does best, and that is intimidate the living daylights out of people. The man’s a physical threat for sure (remember, the guy has powers apparently), but he is also an intellectual threat in ways that few others have been. He’s a threat to both Oliver Queen and the Green Arrow, and is not even remotely afraid to go at him publicly. Slade Wilson did this to a certain extent, but not on the same level as what we’re going to see here.

In addition to Damien, you’ve got a few cool seconds of Laurel and Thea as Black Canary and Speedy, and there’s also the question about whether or not you are hearing an impassioned speech from Oliver at one point, the sort that you would hear at a political rally. Remember here that there are many rumors burning brightly about whether or not he could be on his way to becoming Mayor…

Since the show is still eight days away, we imagine that we’re going to have plenty more to discuss in the near future. For now, let’s just hope for a fourth season that continues to blow everything else the show has done out of the water.
