ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 3 preview: The Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion story in ‘PhDead’
Season 8 of “Castle” has went through many a surprise so far this season, whether it be death, trust issues, betrayals, and new arrivals … to think, we’re only two episodes in right now! The show has given us more in the past two episodes than they did in five or six episodes in past seasons, and we do get a sense that the show is trying to achieve a more serialized feel as a whole this season.
With that being said, this is still a show that likes to have its isolated cases and its procedural moments, and we’re going to get a sense of some of that on “PhDead” next week. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic will hopefully have more time together (even after that ending from tonight’s episode), and we’re going to really start to flesh out what the new dynamic is truly like with him being a private investigator and her being a Captain. If you have not seen the synopsis below for this episode yet, you can do so below via SpoilerTV:
“When the body of a local college fraternity student is found gruesomely murdered, Castle has to go undercover as a professor in order to gain access to the victim’s world. However, he and Beckett soon discover that behind the fun and games of college are some darker secrets the university wants to keep hidden.”
Anytime that you get Castle undercover, we feel like you’re bound to get a variety of fun moments. Hopefully, seeing this will help some of you feel better who are worried about Castle and Beckett’s relationship after the stunner tonight.

This getting ridulous, I have been a Castle fan from the very beginning. I even watch the reruns over and over again on TNT, just to see the love begin between these two. Now these new show runners go in a direction which will upset a great majority of Castle fans (me very included). I sincerely hope that things eventually go back to normal, and the new show runners get the hint. This could cost them a great show.

Why would they wait 4 seasons to get them together just to tear them apart 4 seasons later. I’m quite sure most of the fans (like myself) is watching the show for the relationship not so much for the crime solving. Please get them back together. They’ve been through way too much to be apart when they can be happily together.

However, 8-10million people watched the episodes. Castle was watched by millions but not enough 18-49 yr olds to uptick it’s rating. Predictions about it’s demise is too early in the season. But, people love to predict.

This is the make or break episode for Castle. If it’s not funny and full of Caskett scenes the show is dead by the half-hour mark.

I like fun episodes as do most other fans but please explain the transition from 8×02 to 8×03 to me. Kate has left her family presumably to keep them safe from killers and to run from or chase after these same killers. Now you expect me to believe that Kate is back on the job working on a case that could have been handled by any other detectives in the 12 th, working with Castle and exposing themselves to the killers when all it would take would be a well placed sniper bullet while she was distracted by this case. Also please explain how or why Kate left Castle and her family to protect them and then to turn around and expose them while working another case.

Why not let the co-Showrunners and writers explain all that in 8×03 and future episodes? I will trust them to do the explaining as the seasons goes along. Stana didn’t sign on to S8 if she didn’t like the direction that the Showrunners had in mind, so I will trust her judgment.

Ummm… She ran away from him. Again. It’s time for there to not be a relationship like she obviously wants since she’s putting him second (at best) again.

XX was a good episode except for the end how could the writers do that to Castle and Beckett they always work together what the hell happened. I am not really looking forward to next weeks episode knowing that they are not together is just dumb I can’t believe the writers went that way. What a way to ruin a show.
