‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: Joe Mantegna directs ‘Til Death Do Us Part’

Criminal Minds -Season 11 of “Criminal Minds” is not going to be on the air until September 30, but for this article in particular, we are going to be looking a little bit beyond this and at the October 14 episode entitled “‘Til Death Do Us Part.” We told you some time ago that cast member Joe Mantegna was returning to the director’s chair for this installment, and the synopsis below gives you a sense not only of the general case that the BAU is tasked with, but also a cameo from NFL legend Michael Irvin and also a “Glee” alumni:

“When brides-to-be in Savannah are killed on the eve of their nuptials, the BAU suspects a jilted UnSub is at work, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Series star Joe Mantegna directed the episode. Guest stars include NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as himself, Ashley Fink (“Glee”) as florist Dana Seavers and Chicago radio personality Mancow Muller as a DJ.”

We’re also interested in Mantegna-directed episodes, but we also grew up watching Dallas Cowboys games with Irvin catching passes from Troy Aikman. Therefore, we’re always going to be happy to see him aboard a show, and he is one of those athletes who has the personality needed to carry acting gigs successfully.

When it comes to other notable cast members, we should point out that Aisha Tyler is going to be continuing her arc as Dr. Tara Lewis; she is listed in the recurring cast per CBS.
