‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: More of Samwell Tarly’s family coming aboard!

Who knew that over the course of “Game of Thrones” season 6 we were going to have a chance to see such a family reunion for Samwell Tarly? The funny thing is that we don’t even know for certain that the character (played by John Bradley) is going to be spending time with them.

What we can at least tell you is that per Deadline, James Faulkner (“Downton Abbey”), Samantha Spiro (“London Spy”) and Rebecca Benson (“Shetland”) are going to be coming aboard in the role of relatives for the character. Faulker will be his father, Spiro his mother, and Benson his sister. The crew joins “UnREAL” star Freddie Stroma, who had already been brought on board to play the part of his brother on the series.

When we first met Sam on the show, he was certainly an outcast from his family, and was eventually exiled off to the Night’s Watch. However, he was sent away to potentially Oldtown in order to become a Maester. He is a knowledgeable guy, but one still finding his place within the world of the George R.R. Martin book series and the show. It is still to be seen just where his future is ultimately going to lie when the dust settles on the show.

“Game of Thrones” season 6 premieres on HBO in the spring, and as mentioned many times, the story right now is a mystery given that Martin’s books are, with a few exceptions, around the same place as where we are at on the show.
