‘The X Factor’ UK review: Meet Kiera Weathers, Katie Coleman, and Bordie Kelly
We are back with another Sunday edition of “The X Factor,” and it was one that for the second straight day, was really all about the ladies for the most part. There was one notable guy over the course of the night, but is this demographic ever going to show up again on the series? We love seeing the ladies shine as much as anyone, but we at least want the series to be competitive.
Take a look below to see some of who we feel really stood out over the course of the episode.
Havva Rebke – She’s got a good voice, but what we like about her in this return audition is that she’s got a personality, and she has an interesting way of pronouncing words. She’s different than the majority of the other singers we see on the show, and that makes her an extremely cool entry into the Girls category.
PYT – We have no idea how they are legally going to be able to keep that name thanks to the song, but they’re a decent girl group with “Britain’s Got Talent.” Still, we have seen more creative girl groups this season.
Calypso – She’s probably not going to live shows thanks to limited screen time, but we like the personality. To go along with that, we also really like the name. It’s unique!
Katie Coleman – We’re not entirely sure why she needed a package about getting her heartbroken, mostly because it was not anything different from what we’ve seen from other performers over the years. Yet, her voice was stunning, and really allow her to get far and above everyone else so far!
Neneth Lyons – We’re not sure if she is right per se for pop music, but she seems like someone who would excel in performing on the stage like the West End or Broadway. She’s got a crazy range and a booming tone.
Brodie Kelly – Probably the only guy over the course of the entire hour we’d consider incredibly compelling. He had a strong performance, and we wish that more of the performance was based around his soothing town that how good-looking the judges found him.
Kiera Weathers – We’d say as a whole that Katie was tops for the night, but Kiera had almost that perfect combination of soul and edge that made her feel somewhat of a throwback and current at the same time. That’s rare, and rather awesome.
