NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 9 promo has more Adam Levine – Blake Shelton goofiness
At this point, “The Voice” is really the sort of show that you know precisely what you are going to get from the moment you start watching it. There’s an inspirational angle to it, you get to hear some good music, and of course there’s plenty of face time for the coaches. Really the promos, including the one below, are all about them.
To an extent, it’s hard to argue against the logic since these are really the people the mainstream audience watches to see; there are so many shows where you can see good singers, and while they eventually become the show’s selling point, it is always the format and the personalities to start. The entire panel this time around you have seen before: Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. You’re probably not going to court any new fanbase by keeping this group intact, but we don’t really mind. They all did a good job the last time they were together, and you don’t always need to shake things up and risk hurting chemistry to a certain extent.
Even the promo feels somewhat predictable for the most part, though we do like Adam firing back and Blake when the country singer tries to sell himself by saying that he has a lot of music from the show on his phone.
The new season premieres on NBC come Monday, September 21, and if you are wondering, the image below is the new key art that was released by the network.
