‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: One of the longer story arcs
In tying this particular organization into the “Criminal Minds” universe, we feel like showrunner Erica Messer gives a pretty solid description to Entertainment Weekly:
“It’s about a sort of Silk Road/hitman-for-hire storyline,” executive producer Erica Messer tells me. “Now that Silk Road’s been dismantled, the bad guys are still out there even if they don’t have Silk Road to be their organization. We’re picking up those pieces of what happens when you kill the head of a monster? Another one grows.”
We like the idea of this story, of course provided that the new head of the monster proves to be one who is formidable, and compelling to watch over the course of several hours. The show really needs a strong, super-compelling villain to get us truly intimidated about everything that could be coming the rest of the way. Here’s to hoping that they deliver, since the last one that they really had in our mind was the Replicator (Mark Hamill).
