NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 9 spoilers: Rihanna to serve as main adviser

VoiceThe Voice” does not always get the biggest of stars on the show, but it certainly manages to for the final portion of the competition before the live show. Sometimes this is the Knockout Rounds, other times it is another round of Battles, which to us in the worst thing since we’ve never loved the battles as a concept. Over the years, the likes of Chris Martin and Taylor Swift have taken on the role of adviser for this part of the competition.

This year, the NBC show has secured Rihanna, as of course referenced in the title. She is arguably one of the biggest names in the music industry, and we imagine that she must have some new music to promote that coincides with the competition, given that this is why the show is able to generate so many big names around this time. It’s holiday shopping season!

For Rihanna, this is a great promotional platform, and at the same time it doesn’t require too much of a commitment on her part. We imagine that at most these segments take her a couple of days to film alongside contestants / coaches, as she advises them on things to try out while on stage. We thought that Swift was really great at this back when she was a part of it, since she was very interactive and made a good effort to put herself on the same level as the contestants.

The new season of “The Voice” specifically begins on September 21. Rihanna’s appearance will more than likely be in late October or early November, depending on how the schedule works out.
