‘Suits’ season 5, episode 9 preview: Will Mike’s secret destroy his wedding?
Mike Ross’ secret has more or less been a secret ever since the beginning of “Suits,” and the more that he rises within the firm of Pearson Specter Litt, the more reasons there are to worry. People are going to start sniffing around, and it feels almost inevitable that the truth will be revealed soon enough.
Will that happen next week on “Uninvited Guests”? There is still some ambiguity when it comes to that, but the official synopsis below via USA certainly hints at some major trouble that could be coming:
“Rachel and her mother, Laura Zane, plan for Rachel’s dream wedding, but Rachel fears the event may reveal Mike’s secret. Meanwhile Daniel Hardman and Jack Soloff make their move against Jessica and the partners, as Harvey and Mike tangle with Hardman’s mysterious backer, and Louis tries to find Jack’s Achilles heel.”
When it comes to Harvey, at the moment we should just be happy that he continues to be at work doing what he does best. It looked at times tonight like Louis was going to be ready and willing to completely break Harvey, and trying to get him suspended was a way to do that.
The biggest issue for Mike moving forward, meanwhile, is probably tied to what Claire told him tonight: So long as he continues to lie to the public about who he is, he and Rachel will never be safe. Can he really marry her with that in mind?

This is how I see it unfolding in the future. Wonderful dream wedding unfolding for Mike and Rachel, then the dreaded question comes up, “does anyone here present, know of any reason why these two should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peice.” Claire or her boyfriend stands up and tells the secret, but the professor at Harvard, who owes Harvey a favour has been placed in the congregation by Harvey on purpose. He stands up and quashes the accusation. It’s over they’ve made it through, then the wedding continues, but Mike can’t commit to Rachel, because he knows the truth and he stops the wedding.

I think it’s very doubtful that Claire (or her boyfriend) would show up at the wedding to reveal the secret. She obviously cares for Rachel and sees a lot of herself in Rachel, in addition to the fact that she realizes that she easily could have been in the same situation.
