‘America’s Got Talent’ results preview: Could Piff the Magic Dragon, Showproject get Instant Save?
After Tuesday night’s “America’s Got Talent” performance show, we are definitely in a much more interesting place going into Wednesday’s results. We feel like there is a pretty clear group of people who are moving on, and with seven acts advancing, that doesn’t leave a whole lot of wiggle room.
Take a look below at what we feel are some of our own current projections for Wednesday night’s results show. If you disagree, then just rest assured that we have been wrong quite a few times before with such stuff. It’s especially hard to gauge America before we see them vote for the first time. Also remember that Google’s Instant Save will help to determine one of the acts who advances.
Safe for sure – Benton Blount, Samantha Johnson, Paul Zerdin, Drew Lynch, Siro-A. You’ve got in here five acts who all received great reviews, and to go along with that are acts that have done well with voters in the past. Paul could be an exception in some cases, but he did something so original that it will be appreciated almost without a doubt.
On the bubble – Piff the Magic Dragon, Vita Radionova, Craig and Micheline, Showproject. Piff’s reviews Tuesday night make us slightly nervous about his chances, but the strength of the previous two acts, plus a field that was uneven at times, should carry him through. The other three acts mentioned here are all similar in some ways, since they have such a heavy physical component plus acrobatics. Vita probably has the best overall act, but we see Showproject getting the edge with voters.
Likely gone – Alondra Santos, The Gentlemen, Triple Threat. We guess the kid acts have a slight chance just because they are kids, but it’s not huge. Triple Threat is done. Put that in permanent marker.
