‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 9 video: Callie challenges Carmen and Brooke

Are Carmen and Brooke hiding something when it comes to what really happened with Rita? That is something that is certainly up for discussion in the sneak peek for Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters.”

Last week, Rosie O’Donnell’s character was placed into handcuffs after accusations that she hit Carmen in the argument that happened last week. It was a way to push hardship on the character in a terrible fashion, and we figure after what we saw between Rita and her daughter, we were at least meant to have a little bit of ambiguity as to what truly happened during this fight.

For now, we are still inclined to think that Carmen is covering for Brooke, which is what Callie says in the sneak peek. There is just no real motive for Rita to go after one of the girls at Girls United in the way in which she is accused of doing. Why would she put her own career into some sort of jeopardy like that? The simple answer is that there is no real reason, and therefore we don’t buy the explanation that is being thrown out there.

Part of the intrigue of this episode is going to mostly come out of trying to figure out more of what really happened here, and if there is a way for Rita’s name ultimately to be cleared in the event that she is actually innocent. We will get a much better sense as to what is going to happen next soon enough, so our advice for you at the moment is just to stay tuned.
