‘The Last Ship’ season 2, episode 9 preview: The next mission for Eric Dane, cast

There is no rest for the wicked (or the good) on a show like “The Last Ship.” You are constantly running from something, and at times this means having to go virtually anywhere you can to try to find the materials necessarily for survival. (Minor spoilers ahead.)

On next week’s new episode “Uneasy Lies the Hand,” Eric Dane’s Chandler is going to do what he can to find materials for something that is incredibly important to the survival of almost everyone: The laboratory that could at some point produce a real cure. While he is doing that, Rachel is going to struggle to produce what she needs while working with someone like Niels. It is easy to project some tension between the two of them, and things could get very chaotic by the time we reach the end of the hour.

“With Dr. Scott on the verge of a breakthrough, Chandler and his team set out to land in search of much needed supplies and materials for her lab. Once there, Burk stumbles upon a gang of children who have been offered a bounty by the Immunes for information on the U.S. Navy. A vicious battle ensues when the Immunes come to collect their prisoners. Back on the ship, Rachel’s efforts to produce a spreadable cure depend on Niels – her success now inextricably linked to the scientist who nearly erased mankind.”
