‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: The (ominous) premiere title

NCIS -Just as if you did not already have a reason to be worried about the upcoming season 13 premiere of “NCIS,” we come to you now bearing some not-so-great news: The title is definitely of the dark and concerning variety.

As first reported by TVLine, the name of this upcoming episode is going to be none other than “Stop the Bleeding,” which we feel is definitely a not-so-veiled reference to what is most-likely going on at the moment with Agent Gibbs. At the end of season 12, Mark Harmon’s character was shot after a lengthy cyber-terrorism investigation that involved using young people in terrible ways. While we would like to envision him pulling through, there are no guarantees with this show. He may still be under contract, but the Patrick Dempsey – “Grey’s Anatomy” situation should really tell you that this sometimes means nothing if there is a plan that is put into motion.

As for what is coming up for some other characters, we hope to find out in the near future. We’d like to see Tony and McGee handed some new challenges, and maybe some big decisions happen in key relationships. Given that we are getting close to a decade and a half into the series’ run, isn’t it now time where we can start to look towards the potential endgame for each one of these people?

The season premiere of “NCIS” is going to air come Tuesday, September 22, and we are hopefully going to have more in the way of news on that the rest of the summer. With filming now underway, it is a welcome sign.
