‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3: Chloe Bennet explains new Daisy Johnson look
If you have been a follower of Chloe Bennet on social media, then you may know a thing or two already about the change she has undergone in order to better become Daisy Johnson on Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” season 3. She has obviously trained to be an Inhuman and a part of the Secret Warriors story, but she has also made a drastic transformation in cutting off much of her own hair for the role. This is something that you have to admire just from the standpoint of dedication alone; we’ve seen many other actors and actresses simply use a wig to replicate a look.
As Bennet explained to People Magazine, one of her real goals through this process was to try and be a little more faithful to the comics, while at the same time giving herself something that she would be still comfortable with:
“The comic book version of Daisy Johnson has very short, Miley Cyrus-esque hair … We wanted to stay true to the comic book character fans love; I wanted to please them but also make sure there was still some movement and length and sexiness in the hair.”
You can see Bennet’s new look below. It is a big change from the first two seasons, but as she says, it is still longer than what the Daisy character has in the comics. Ultimately, though, playing the character is more about the performance than the hair, and we imagine that she will once again do a great job with it.
