‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: No Caroline Flack, Olly Murs at judges’ houses

The latest news -While “The X Factor” UK is doing away with the audition rooms for their upcoming 12th season of the show, there is one element of the show that is (sort of) staying the same: Judges’ Houses. The good news here is that we are still for whatever reason going to see contestants performing in exotic locations that the judges probably do not even own some of the time. The bad news? They are not going to be joined by co-hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs in the process.

Why is this happening? It’s not really anything to with any particular demand or complaint from the show’s new hosts; instead, it is a logistics issue. As reported by The Sun, this stage of the competition is being filmed all over the same few days this year, meaning that it is impossible for them to be in every place at once. Them going to one particular locale would also be impractical, given that it would imply a certain element of favoritism that they clearly do not want to project.

Here is what one source had to say about this matter to the publication:

“Olly and Caroline are gutted they won’t get to join the judges in all of these locations. Being with the judges and contestants at this crucial stage is one of the best bits of the job. And it beats being stood in a cold studio in Wembley. But they are excited about the series. Of course there’ll be banter with the judges about them missing out.”

In the end, it’s not that big of a deal given they are mostly there to cheer on and console the contestants, but it is a small little touch that will be missed.
