‘Bones’ season 11 spoilers: A change in premiere title

Bones -What happened to cause “Bones” season 11 to lose its premiere title? That is a mystery that is almost on the level as the ones that Booth and Brennan solve, and one that we may never have the answer to.

What is important to know at the moment regardless is that the upcoming first episode airing on Thursday, October 1 is no longer going to be referred to as “The Revelation in the Remains.” New co-showrunner Michael Peterson wrote early this month that this would be the name for the hour, but now writer Emily Silver has posted that “The Loyalty in the Lie,” written by Peterson’s fellow showrunner Jonathan Collier, is the new title for this episode.

To us, “The Revelation in the Remains” was a title that sounded better almost as a repiloting of the series, given the way that season 10 ended and the notion that maybe Booth and Brennan would need some reason to get back in the game. They left the Jeffersonian behind, after all, at the end of season 10, and it was not particularly hard to assume that they were going to progress onward into trying to find some other sort of venture to pursue that did not involve so many dead people.

This new title is intriguing mostly because it automatically infers dishonesty, and with that as a chief component to this episode the possibilities are endless for some of these characters. We hope that Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are in a good place when season 11 begins, but we also have to be aware of the possibility of friction. These are two strong-willed, opinionated people coming off of an epic dispute over Booth’s gambling addiction, and there will be a time jump of years presumably between the end of last season and the start of this new one.
