‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 12 preview: A family dinner surprise

MasterChef -Let’s start this “MasterChef” preview with something that feels a little bit inevitable: The “special guests” that the contestants are cooking for are probably their own families. This show has a tendency to be somewhat on the nose, in between the “family-style” way in which they are cooking to the preview that showed the cooks getting emotional. Would they really be freaking out if it was Gordon Ramsay’s kids they were cooking for?

Despite whoever the audience is that these people are cooking for, there is undoubtedly still a job to be done here in making sure that these people get a family dinner that is worthy that is worthy of them. It looks like there will be conflict, and our feeling here is that format-wise, all of the remaining cooks will have to make something individually, and will be judged as such.

Also, we imagine that there will be an elimination at the end of it. Emotional as it may be for some of these people to see family, we are coming off of a non-elimination that spared Christopher and Stephen.

In the end, we’re probably still the most worried about Christopher and Olivia going into this episode. One of them has struggled at times, and the other has been rather under-edited over the course of the season. Personally, though, we’d rather see the exit of someone we thought would go really far in the competition. Who doesn’t love a good surprise at the end of the night?

We’ll have some more “MasterChef” news throughout the week, so stay tuned!
