‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Wayward Pines’ actress to play mysterious character

At this given point in time, Shannyn Sossamon has to be very good at keeping secrets. That’s going to be useful given the role that she just signed on to play on “Sleepy Hollow” season 3.

According to TVLine, the recent “Wayward Pines” actress is a new series regular for the show, and will be taking on the part of Pandora. Other than mythology, “Borderlands,” and the world from “Avatar,” we have no idea what this really means. All we can say for sure is that this continues a mass rebuilding project for “Sleepy Hollow” this summer. We lost John Noble and Katia Winter at the end of season 2, and neither one of these moves surprised us given that the whole Jeremy – Katrina story was not popular with fans. However, losing Orlando Jones was both surprising and rather devastating, given that he is such a beloved guy off-screen and Irving brought a lot to the show.

In the end, though, “Sleepy Hollow” is trying to start reasonably fresh, and give Ichabod and Abbie something new to do moving forward. They’ve already brought on board Nikki Reed to play their adaptation of Betsy Ross, and there’s also those reports out there about a random crossover with “Bones” happening before we make it to the end of the season.

“Sleepy Hollow” is relocating to Thursday nights starting this fall, and will be paired up with “Bones” as a part of a new lineup. Stay tuned, as we’ll be sharing some further news about it as we get a little bit closer to the time in which it airs.
