‘The X Factor’ UK group Stereo Kicks breaks up less than a year after show

Stereo Kicks -While every now and then you do get a group on “The X Factor” like a One Direction, a Little Mix, or a Fifth Harmony who sticks together (at least for a while) and has some big hits, the reality the majority of the time is that the group tries hard to make it work for a little while, but then eventually ends up splitting for one reason or another.

We hate to sound more pessimistic about Stereo Kicks than other bands we’ve seen over the years, but for the longest time things were not exactly looking good for this group. They are an eight-piece boy band, and there were rumors about splitting the band up even during the show last year. That is just a ton of people to try to keep track of, and in the real world away from the show it’s hard to get people buying into the concept of something that is between a boy band and a choir. (A boy choir?)

The group announced their breakup in a split, saying that they are still grateful for all of the love and support that they have received over the years:

“Stereo kicks has been, and always will be, a HUGE part of our lives. We still remain the BEST of friends and will continue to support each other in everything we do. The experience we have had is truly indescribable and it is mostly down to YOU! Our fans! Without your support and loyalty, we wouldn’t have achieved half of what we have…….. you really have been the BEST FAN’S EVER!!”

Maybe there will be a group from this upcoming season who ends up forming on the show and doing better afterwards. Only the Young from last season is still together, but they were also together before even auditioning.
