‘Major Crimes’ season 4 spoilers: More scoop on return of Jon Tenney, Special Operations Bureau

Major Crimes -While it does not appear that we are going to be getting a “Major Crimes” spin-off anytime soon focused solely on the Special Operations Bureau, at least take some solace that you are going to see Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney) and company very soon on the TNT series proper. They will be back to take on a particularly important case come the July 20 episode entitled “Targets of Opportunity.” Want to know more of the specifics? Then check out the official synopsis below right now:

“After a shooting leaves two LA police officers dead, the Major Crimes unit must work with the Deputy Chief of the LAPD Special Operations Bureau, Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney), to piece together a high stakes case involving a fugitive witness. Meanwhile, Rusty works with the team on the case in order to secretly gather more background information to support his own, journalistic investigation into the life of the girl who called herself Alice Herrera.”

In terms of the Rusty story, it is looking more and more like this is something that will weigh him down for some time. If nothing else, we can tell you that this is not going to be the last episode that the Alice Herrera case is on the forefront of his mind. We are somewhat curious to know how all of this will impact him, and his prospects for the future, once the case is finally wrapped.

We’ll be back soon with more coverage of Monday night’s “Major Crimes” episode, which carries with it the title of “Personal Effects.”
