‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9 spoilers: Sheldon Amy’s future; Mayim Bialik, Kunal Nayyar surprise at Comic-Con

Big Bang Theory -One of our favorite Comic-Con panels to read / hear about / watch is the one for “The Big Bang Theory,” mostly because you get so much creative insight into the show. Not only that, but the series always manages to find a way or two to come out and surprise you.

While it has been years since the entire cast was in attendance in San Diego, today Kunal Nayyar (Raj) showed up to be the surprise moderator of the panel, which led to mass applause of course. Meanwhile, Mayim Bialik (Amy) also made a surprise appearance on the panel, which led to a reading of some made-up Raj / Amy fanfiction that we never know we needed, but is worthy of a few laughs if you find it somewhere online.

In terms of season 9 scoop, executive producers Chuck Lorre, Steve Molaro, and Bill Prady made it clear that there will be some answers coming on the future of Sheldon and Amy during the first episode back in September. Also, you will learn when Sheldon bought the ring that we saw in the finale. These two characters have evolved more than anyone. We’ve know that there was some sort of love there, but having them admit it at one point was a tremendous step in the right direction for them. However, to move things forward Sheldon actually has to start recognizing more of her feelings for the change, and actually shows that he wants to be a part of the relationship rather than treating it as some sort of burden on everything else.

This was a really fun panel in the end, and it concluded with a rousing rendition of “Soft Kitty.” We really wish that so many other panels offered up this much creative discussion in a very short amount of time.
