‘Bachelor in Paradise’ spoilers: New promo features Ashley Salter, Ashley Iaconetti

We have seen the first official promo now for ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” (watch below via E! News) premiering on August 2, and there is one simple word that we can already use to describe it: Tears. You are going to see plenty of them over the course of this entire season, and the show seems to be almost more interested in promoting itself for that than they do genuine romance.

Also, the two women named Ashley from Chris Soules’ season look to be taking center stage in one form or another. Ashley Iaconetti (pictured) looks to be crying a lot during this season, which does not bode well for her chances in Paradise. This is already coming off of Chris Soules leaving her in the middle of nowhere after a two-on-one date. When will the madness end? Meanwhile, you can also see Ashley Salter a.k.a. Onion Ashley be carried off for some sort of medical crisis. Remember how there was an ambulance in a promo for last season, even though we never really saw it on the show itself? It looks like they have actually figured something out this time.

Sure, we imagine that there will be at least some sort of romance on the show. It is hard to really expect anything else when you have people staying together for a few weeks in Mexico, completely cut off from the outside world and asked to focus primarily on each other and relationships. This is as focused an environment as really anyone is ever going to have.

While we’re not entirely sure we’d say we are supremely excited for this season, it could still be fun anyway. Time will tell.
