‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 spoilers: Yes, Kit Harington’s hair is this big of a story

Given that nobody knows what happens next to Jon Snow in A Song of Ice and Fire, there is appropriately a huge amount of interest in what “Game of Thrones” is planning for the character themselves. (Spoilers!) Are they really planning to kill him off? The curiosity over that has fans speculating over every little thing, and that includes actor Kit Harington’s own hair.

If you do a quick Google search or look on Twitter (we don’t have license to the photos), you can see shots of Harington at Wimbledon still sporting Jon’s signature hair. This in turn has led many to speculate that maybe the character will return, despite him insisting in interviews that the character won’t be back for season 6. (In turn, this has also led to some speculation that Jon will sit next season out, but be back for season 7.)

There are of course some other explanations for Jon’s long hair beyond just the obvious one.

1. Maybe he has another role coming up the requires him to have long locks, and he does not want to get rid of them just yet.

2. Maybe “Game of Thrones” is intentionally screwing with us, and told Harington to not cut his hair for a while to not tip the hand too much one way or another.

3. Maybe Kit just really likes this hairstyle.

To be fair, we figure that we will not report it too concretely one way or another if we learn Jon is returning to the show, mostly because this is obviously meant to be a big surprise. Why spoil all of the fun for everyone?
