‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: New boss says to expect side stories
In previewing what could be some of the series’ side missions to Entertainment Weekly recently, new showrunner Phil Klemmer (“The Tomorrow People”) passed along the following message:
“Who can resist the urge to correct the past or to investigate the future?” he says. “The idea of traveling through time has a caper quality to it, and that’s what we’re looking forward to. Yes, there will be the big ‘try to stop Vandal Savage’ [plot], but people will inevitably become diverted on their little side missions and when people are trying to fix their own timeline, that’s when you really start screwing things up.”
Tonally, we’re looking for something from this show that is somewhat similar to “The Flash,” largely because this series really appears on the surface to be emphasizing at least a little bit of fun more than anything else. They want viewers to enjoy the show, laugh at some of the exploits, and then eventually be excited and concerned for their favorites when the big battles commence.
