‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Strike Back’ actor cast as King Arthur!

Once -There is no need to wait to get some other news related to “Once Upon a Time“! You likely remember that the show is in the process of casting many characters from the world of Arthurian legend, and it has been confirmed now, via Entertainment Weekly, that British actor Liam Garrigan (“Strike Back,” “24: Live Another Day”) is going to take on the role of King Arthur.

There is not too much else known just yet in regards to what sort of role Garrigan will play in the show’s overall story, save that Sinqua Walls is returning as Lancelot and we know that the series is casting both Guinevere and Merlin, who has a key amount of knowledge in the Dark One, who is now inhabiting Emma Swan the last we saw.

Filming for season 5 is going to begin in Vancouver early next month, and if this casting is any indication, you probably are not going to be forced into waiting a long time to see the king in action.

As for when you can expect to get some of the first substantial details in regards to the new season, our guess is that San Diego Comic-Con is going to be a great venue for news. The show has a reputation for making some pretty good reveals there for the most part; maybe last year with the “Frozen” arc was a little bit quieter, but remember how berserk fans went when they discovered the Captain Hook reveal before season 2 or the arrival of Ariel before the third season. Granted, the latter only had a smaller arc.
