‘Legends of Tomorrow’: The CW, Ciara Renee deny Hawkgirl series rumor

Legends -One of the more intriguing stories to come out over the weekend was that The CW were in the process of developing a show revolving around the Hawkgirl character, who is going to be appearing on “Legends of Tomorrow” in early 2016. Is that really happening? At the moment, it does not appears so. Ciera Renee (who is set to play the character) denied the chatter on Twitter, and a network source told TVLine today that any such show is not happening.

The news of a potential spin-off was first reported by SpoilerTV, and we don’t really consider them the sort of source that would be considerably wrong or would post something without doing a little bit of research. They would know that posting something completely false would get them raked over the coals.

So what do we make of this right now? For the time being, we’re just going to put this away in a mental file cabinet. To us, it’s far too easy to really speculate on any spin-off at all since the show has not even premiered yet and will not until next year. Maybe this is something that is being hinted about right now, and will be explored down the line. We just imagine that the network would want to see ratings before they really start to invest serious money.

For now, we’ll just say that we know The CW would like to have a female superhero show, and there is a lot to be explored here with this character.
