‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5: Regina Pop! figure coming to Comic-Con

If you have been to any comic convention in the past year, then more than likely you know that Funko’s line of Pop! vinyl figures are some of the most popular buys out there. They are small, typically adorable, and perfect to store anywhere you collect things. We personally have one on our desk of Commander Shepard from the “Mass Effect” video game series.

This week, the company announced that they are making a “Once Upon a Time” figure based on Lana Parrilla’s character of Regina! Rejoice! The company hasn’t gotten too much into making figures based on the ABC show yet, but there are more apparently coming in the future. This is set up for now as a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, so if you want to get the figure right away, the best thing that you can do is be present at the convention center next month.

We imagine that it really just has to be cool for anyone to be immortalized in such a way, mostly because it serves as a form of validation. They wouldn’t be produced if there was zero demand for them, and clearly people out there love the source material enough.

Given how much we know “Once Upon a Time” fans love Regina, we imagine that this one will be extremely popular. We have heard that some of the other characters that could be coming to Funko include Emma Swan, Rumpelstiltskin, Charming, Snow White, and Captain Hook. Many other shows, including “Game of Thrones” and “The Walking Dead,” already have a robust lineup.
