‘Fear the Walking Dead’ spoilers: Former ‘Southland’ star signs on

Ready to see what lies ahead with AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead“? While we cannot give you specific story spoilers at this time, we at least have some of the latest casting information about someone who could make this Los Angeles world all the more exciting.

According to a new report from Deadline, Shawn Hatosy of “Southland” fame is being brought in for a role that still does not even have a name attached to it. However, at the same time we know that he is a “military man” who means really well, but will quickly find himself completely in over his head. We can only imagine why, given that we are dealing with the early days of the zombie apocalypse.

This series is slated to premiere a little later this summer, and for the most part we’ve seen executive producers Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson make deliberate work of casting TV veterans who, while known to some, are not necessarily enormous names. They are guaranteeing effectively the quality of the work, while not bringing on board anyone who they would perceive to be a distraction to the overall product. They don’t want you spending that much time obsessing over who is in the role, compared of course to what they are actually doing.

We imagine that news on “Fear the Walking Dead” is far from over. Therefore, we’ll have something more very soon.
