‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Did Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nick Viall sleep together after date?

Tonight, “The Bachelorette” ended with a pretty ugly sequence of events where Ian showed himself to be a really arrogant guy. Is he right to be annoyed that Kaitlyn Bristowe isn’t really getting to know him? Sure, but his attitude about it was so bitter and arrogant. We’re really not that interested in dealing with any of his nonsense moving forward.

So where do we go from here? Well, we know that promos can be really deceptive, but the one that aired after tonight certainly suggested that Kaitlyn and Nick may have slept together after spending some time together, presumably on a one-on-one date. Does she regret the move? She seems to almost right away, given how much she is crying over it / saying that it may have been a mistake. Sex on this show is a complicated subject if something really happened. We’re not going to get super-judgmental about it, but there has always been an expectation that this doesn’t really happen until the Overnight Dates.

By doing this sort of thing now, some of the guys are inevitably either going to feel jealous, or feel like they are just placeholders in the grander scheme of things. What will be interesting to see is who leaves after something like this, and who decides that they want to stick around to try to either come off well on TV, actually still try to win Kaitlyn over, or get on another show.

Ultimately, we’ll have our answers in one week’s time.
