Lifetime places first four episodes of ‘UnREAL’ online after slow start

UnREAL -Let’s face it: “UnREAL” on Lifetime did not get off to the sort of ratings start that we were hoping for when it premiered last week. Granted, we also did not have extremely high expectations. While we personally do very much enjoy the show, at the same exact time it faces an issue of audience. Most of the people who watch “The Bachelor” enjoy the whole fantasy element of the show, and therefore do not want it to be ruined for them entirely. Meanwhile, many people who would probably actually enjoy it are probably scared away by the notion of something like “The Bachelor” being a part of the story.

In a potential move now to draw some more viewers in one form or another, the network has made the first four episodes of the show available on their official website. You don’t even have to verify your cable subscription to watch, which may be a pretty sweet opportunity for some of you. (Unfortunately, it still limited to those watching in the United States.)

The whole objective, or at least what we would imagine, of these four episodes coming online is that it presents a very real and very tremendous opportunity for new fans to get hooked on the show, and then actually want to watch it when it is on Lifetime later in the season. We’re not entirely sure if it will work, but this is a show that could benefit very much from a binge.

Anyway, you should probably check it out. It’s a very fun show, and we can say from at least watching the first three episodes that it does not exactly slow down in the slightest. We’ll probably post our review for episode 2 around the time it starts to air, with a spoiler warning still for those who have not seen it just yet.
