‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Audition rooms reportedly scrapped

The latest news -You already know that there are some changes coming in terms of the personalities for “The X Factor” moving forward. Specifically, we are talking in terms of Caroline Flack and Olly Murs coming aboard as co-hosts, and also a little bit about the massive rumors when it comes to the judging panel.

While we cannot confirm just yet who will be teaming up with Simon Cowell, we can at least say with some confidence now that the audition room portion of the program will be nonexistent. Speaking per the Express, Flack has stated that the show is moving back to the previous audition format of having the singers try out for the first time in front of a crowd. This is something that the show was doing during some of their peak seasons, and we understand both the pros and cons.

When it comes to advantages, we are well aware that the full crowd can add a sense of excitement for a really great singer, and it also makes sense to surround Olly with as many adoring fans as possible.

However, at the same time we are going to miss the intimacy of a smaller room, where you get to see more of an actual connection form between the singer and the judges. We also feel that it puts a little bit less pressure on the judges to have to use the same canned phrases that we have heard so many other times in the past.

The new season of “The X Factor” is going to premiere later this summer, so stay tuned!
