‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 3 video: Nina Lisandrello previews Tess’ story

Are you ready for “Beauty and the Beast” season 3 to premiere June 11? While you may understandably be bummed that the first episode back was delayed, we’re starting to understand why. This is giving The CW a little more time to promote it, and from our vantage point they are doing a fairly decent job at it. We’re at least getting some new videos and other details about the show on a pretty regular basis.

Take, for example, the latest clip below. In this one, we get a chance to see Nina Lisandrello explain some of what the story coming up for Tess this season will be. Given that most of the scoop out there is centered around Cat and Vincent, this is nice. Basically, Tess will be struggling in the early going with trying to get JT to move forward after what happened to him at the end of last season. Rather than being extremely grateful just to be alive, this is someone who seems preoccupied with being worried, and constantly looking over his shoulder.

Will Tess be able to change his outlook? We have to hope so, since it may be imperative to the pair’s ultimate longevity as a couple. There is a lot of work that may need to be done in order to still build him up, but it has to be a two-way street. He has to be willing to give it a try.

Given Tess’ own reputation for kicking butt and taking names, we figure that it will only be so long before she is mixed up in the main story, as well.
