‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 video: Watch Peter Dinklage sing about dead characters

TyrionRed Nose Day is coming up on NBC Thursday night, and this is a chance to see a variety of talents from all walks of life come forward in order to help support young children who are growing up in poverty. This is an event that has become very popular in the United Kingdom, but its influence is really only starting to spread stateside now.

In the video below, what you can do is see one thing in particular that is being down on Thursday’s special courtesy of “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage: He performs a song, written by Coldplay, all about the show! Specifically, this is a song talking all about characters who have previously come to die over the course of the series’ run. It’s a pretty obvious song lyrically, but it is still fun to get a few little reminders here and there in regards to how many people have left us. Some of them, such as Ned Stark, Robb Stark, and Joffrey, were most likely surprises to anyone who did not know that they were coming in advance.

For Dinklage fans, this is yet another reminder that the guy has a great sense of humor, though we have a pretty hard time thinking that you really needed some sort of reminder in the first place. He has always had zero problem joking around here and there on late-night shows.

New episodes of “Game of Thrones” will continue airing on HBO Sunday nights.
