NBC’s ‘The Voice’ finale results: Is Sawyer Fredericks, Meghan Linsey, or Joshua Davis the winner?

The Voice -The season finale of “The Voice” aired on Tuesday night, and going into the episode, we had a feeling that this was going to be a predictable affair. Let’s face it: Sawyer Fredericks has been far and away the favorite to win since almost the very beginning of the series. He’s delivered great performances week after week, and in addition to that, he also has completely rocked out when it comes to sales.

Was there a real threat to him going into this episode? The one person that Sawyer fans probably needed to worry about here is Meghan Linsey. The singer is a member of Team Blake Shelton, and time and time again his fans have come out in support of his artists. The Craig Wayne Boyd effect is something that is very much still fresh in mind.

Tonight’s finale was of course bloated, in between a variety of performances and cross-promotion for every NBC show across the spectrum.

In the end, though, there really was not a whole lot of drama with the results this time: Sawyer is the winner of this season! For the most part, we see the majority of the show’s fans and social media happy about this move … with the emphasis on “for the most part.” You can argue that he was promoted more than anyone this season, but at the same time he is really the sort of artist the show needs: Someone young, talented, and more than just a good singer. He may have a very nice career ahead.
