‘The Flash’ season 1, episode 22 preview: An extended look at ‘Rogue Air’

The FlashThere are so many reasons to be excited about the next new episode of “The Flash.” If nothing else, what “Rogue Air” is promising to us is mostly that it will be a chance to finally learn a thing or two about what the Reverse Flash is truly capable of. So far, he has been as a villain someone who is not easily afraid. He knows that he can stop Barry Allen at any turn, but what about the Flash, Arrow, and Firestorm? That’s a little bit of a trickier combo platter of superheroes.

One of the real intriguing parts of this story is seeing Oliver present for the big showdown, mostly due to how we saw him transform more into Al Sah-Him on last week’s “Arrow” episode. For those of you who are insanely confused, the only information that we can offer you here is to watch tonight’s episode. That should explain more of why he seems to suddenly be warmer and more helpful than he has been in Nanda Parbat. They wouldn’t just completely take Oliver out of the canon of the show for the sake of this battle.

As for Firestorm, we just imagine that Ronnie Raymond / Martin Stein have managed to figure out what they are doing a little more here than they have previously. What we just do not know at the moment is how Stein is going to appear on the spin-off without Ronnie, though we figure that could be explained more in this story.

Don’t expect Harrison Wells to be stopped completely in this episode (which also features Captain Cold); there is at least one more episode coming after this one, and it should tell us a thing or two more about where Barry and Harrison could go moving into a second season.
