‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 finale video: Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla and a role reversal

The “Once Upon a Time” finale Sunday night already to us has the potential to be the greatest yet, mostly because it feels like the sort of thing that almost all of us have speculated about at some point: What if Snow White was truly evil, or what if Rumpelstiltskin was one of the good guys? This is a sort of role-reversal that can make for extremely compelling TV, and we are going to have that throughout the two-hour installment.

In some ways, the sneak peek below is really just that, a tiny tease for what could be some crazy / super-entertaining conflict that is coming up over the course of the episode. We get to see Ginnifer Goodwin fully embrace the darkness (though we know that Snow is not fully good, either), while Lana Parrilla has a chance to act out a more heroic part. Many of the regulars are going to get a chance to also take on different roles, and we will learn what the future could have been like if things were different so long ago in the Enchanted Forest.

Is anyone going to be able to change things back to how they should be? Based on some of the early material that we’ve seen, one person to look out for here is Henry. His relationship with the original storybook was the catalyst for the pilot, and it would make sense to see him in a similar, full-circle role here, especially as he gets older and starts to better understand the world.

Whatever happens here, we would say to expect it to carry into a pretty crazy fifth season. Stay tuned for more news on that!
