‘American Idol XIV’ spoilers: What Nick Fradiani, Tyanna Jones, Quentin Alexander, top 7 could perform

American Idol -Is there a guarantee that all of the remaining singers on “American Idol XIV” are going to be able to perform Wednesday? Not exactly, since there will be another elimination that brings us down to the top seven, and with Daniel Seavey gone we’re not sure that there is a consensus pick as to who to eliminate. We’ll have more on this in our contestant rankings tomorrow, but at the moment we would probably say that Qaasim Middleton should be nervous. Despite getting the save, the vocals have not improved.

Today, the show released a video teasing the songs that every person is going to sing for Billboard Hot 100 Week, and the good news is that they are all songs that are current from the past several years. As for the bad news, they are all performances that you’ve probably heard over the course of the past year or two on another singing show.

Outkast, “Hey Ya” – It seems right for Qaasim, doesn’t it?

Lady Gaga, “Poker Face” – Maybe it is too on the nose to thing that this would be a Joey Cook song?

Make It Rain, “Ed Sheeran” – This is a toss-up to us between Quentin Alexander and Jax, since they can both handle the dramatics of this song, which was popularized by “Sons of Anarchy.” We’re going to lean towards Quentin here.

Adele, “Set Fire to the Rain” – This one and Miley we’re the least confident on. We’re going to go ahead and say Tyanna Jones is here, even though we don’t think it shows off her energy and stage presence well.

Rihanna, “Stay” – Just because there is such a strong piano part to this song, let’s go with Jax here.

Miley Cyrus, “Wrecking Ball” – Since he’s the last one remaining, let’s go with Clark Beckham here. Plus, the guy really needs to take a risk.

Katy Perry, “Teenage Dream” – It’s a little stretch, but since Nick Fradiani has covered Katy songs before with his band Beach Avenue, we’ll go with him.

Disclosure ft. Sam Smith, “Latch” – Rayvon Owen’s our pick here, and we are fairly confident about it.
