Is ‘Gotham’ episode 19 new tonight? Where to see Ben McKenzie, Robin Lord Taylor this weekend

Gotham -Let’s start this “Gotham” article with the same exact order of business in which we’ve started the past few: There is no new episode of the show airing on Fox tonight. The lengthy hiatus continues, and it will continue to be off the air until it returns on Monday, April 13. As we’ve said, the one silver lining here is that the final four episodes are going to air consecutively until the show officially says farewell for the first season in May. It will be back for a second season presumably in the fall.

If you are longing to see more from the show sooner rather than later, though, we come bearing good news tonight with a reminder for those of you attending WonderCon in Anaheim this weekend! The show is going to be holding a panel on Saturday, April 4 at 3:45 p.m. local time, and it could be a chance to get a sneak preview at the rest of the season along with quotes from stars Ben McKenzie, Robin Lord Taylor, and Donal Logue along with executive producer John Stephens. It’s a pretty nice panel, and this one should be a great deal of fun.

We’re planning to be at this panel this weekend (look for a tall guy with glasses walking with a short redhead with pigtails!), so we’ll be able to present you with some highlights after the fact. In general terms, what we suspect we’ll see in the final four episodes is a roadway to get us some basic foundation for what’s coming up in season 2. This may include more Harvey Dent, potential Joker mythology, and a chance to see how in the world Fish Mooney’s story will end. Remember here that Jada Pinkett Smith has already said that she signed on for only one season of the show, and to be honest we are more then fine with that considering her story has been linked to Penguin, Gordon or any of the other characters for weeks now. She is literally on an island and we don’t care enough about her to see a story line involving her away from our main cast.

Our big hope with “Gotham,” above all else, is that it comes back with a bang, and validates yet again why there was so much hype around this show in the first place.
