‘Girl Meets World’ season 2: When could it premiere?

Over the course of the entire first season, you have seen Riley Matthews try to take on the world on “Girl Meets World” season 1 … but all of that ended tonight when she and Lucas took a big step forward in their relationship with a kiss. Romantic? Definitely to her, but it is still to be seen just how her life is going to be changing beyond this.

What we can at least tell you right now are some of the first details regarding a second season … including when it could premiere. A good many episodes have been filmed already, and a number of your favorites from the original show are set to return. It feels in many ways that season 1 was a way to ensure that a variety of of viewers could get hooked on the show, while season 2 will be a real opportunity for more original fans to get invested and to see some of their old favorites again.

As to when this season could end up premiering, the only answer that we can offer for the time being is “in a while.” Disney Channel has not offered up a firm premiere date, but most of what we hear suggests that there is not going to be an extremely long hiatus. The structure of this show does not really benefit to keeping fans away for a particularly long time; instead, they would rather just air 20-25 episodes almost throughout an entire year with a variety of breaks here and there in between.

One thing we do know is that this show is probably not going anywhere for at least a little while. While its ratings dropped off after the premiere, it did find itself a nice little audience along the way.
