‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: How, why Manu Bennett will return as Slade

Manu -We’re big fans of Slade Wilson on “Arrow.” While we felt like we did need a little distance from the Deathstroke character following season 2, we’ve had that now. Therefore, we are very pleased to see him back in the world of the show again. In the event that you haven’t heard, he will be in the February 18 episode of the series entitled “The Return,” which could have huge implications for the rest of the series.

However, the title may not actually be an allusion to Slade being back around Oliver Queen; instead, it may be a reference to the fact that our hero was actually in Starling City at least once prior to when he arrived there back during the pilot. For more on that, just take a look at the synopsis below:

“Malcolm (John Barrowman) puts Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) in a dangerous situation that lands them on Lian Yu with Oliver’s former enemy, Deathstroke (guest star Manu Bennett). A flashback reveals when Oliver and Maseo (guest star Karl Yune) returned to Starling City to retrieve the Omega bio weapon, and despite being under strict orders from Amanda Waller (guest star Cynthia Addai-Robinson) not to reveal himself to anyone, Oliver looks in on his family, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and Tommy (guest star Colin Donnell).”

Now, what we have to wonder with Slade is whether or not he is trapped in some sort of prison still, or on the run with the capacity to kill. Also, we’re worried about the guy. Bennett has a new role coming up on MTV, and we really hope the show is not going to just do away with this character now. We’d rather him just simmer somewhere, and maybe come back a little later when the time is right.
