‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 12 preview: Sherlock and Kitty’s origin story
“The One That Got Away” is the title for next week’s new episode of “Elementary,” and after spending so much time looking forward (or at least looking in the present), we are going to see a slightly different approach. Specifically, we are going to find out a little more of how Sherlock Holmes and Kitty Winter started out in the first place.
This episode is the conclusion of the two-part arc that started off tonight, and it is definitely fair to say still that the Kitty character is still in danger. However, there is something more to it than that, and Holmes and Joan Watson are going to have to work above and beyond to figure that out. (Given Joan’s other responsibilities right now, that is no easy task.) Take a look at the synopsis below:
“As Kitty begins to unravel due to the imminent threat to her safety, Sherlock and Joan intensify their efforts to help her. Also, the origin of Sherlock and Kitty’s relationship is revealed.”
The thing that we hope for from this episode as a whole is a sense of closure on this story. What we know for sure right now is that you’ve never seen Holmes quite like you’re about to see him. The promo below shows him intense, and also violently determined to get to the bottom of things.
Basically, you’ll probably get a reminder of how terrifying Jonny Lee Miller can be as an actor. All we have to do is look back at his extremely underrated turn as Jordan Chase on “Dexter.”
