‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ review: Should Shawn Johnson have stepped up over Vivica A. Fox?

Shawn -Tonight, “The Celebrity Apprentice” aired a new episode that was almost as predictable as a pitch going slowly down home plate, right in the direction of Johnny Damon. You know with some confidence what is going to be coming up.

Even before the show went to its first commercial, we had Shawn Johnson talking about how it was her strategy to not want to step up and be Project Manager for a task early, mostly because she wanted to lay low for as long as she could. So when we had a task that was really geared towards women, it felt like the perfect time for her to go for it. However, she didn’t want to, and Vivica A. Fox took over! Despite being great in the boardroom, Vivica really struggled when it comes to a cohesive vision. She managed to get a ton of people to stop by for coffee, but not enough for the actual Ivanka Trump shoes.

This was one of those Donald Trump firings that seemed almost completely irrational in a way, and done mostly for the sake of entertainment. Shawn didn’t necessarily do anything wrong, but she just never seemed that excited or enthusiastic! She wasn’t much of a fighter, and we were never as impressed with her this season as we were hoping to be. We thought early on that she could go to the finale!

We cannot even praise Kenya Moore too much for her win, mostly because Vivica’s team just was not very good. This was just all about “the episode where Shawn gets fired.” Let it be known that if you give Trump a reason to fire you, and you’re not bringing much to the table entertainment-wise, he is going to do it. That’s it. See you later, Shawn. We’ll talk about it in our new podcast soon enough. Grade: B- (mostly for predictability).
