‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Young version of Cersei Lannister reportedly cast

Game of Thrones -Remember some of those stories from months ago that “Game of Thrones” season 5 would feature some of the series’ first flashbacks? Well, we’ve got some additional news right now on who could be a part of this.

According to a find via Watchers on the Wall, young actress Nell Williams has been cast to play the part of Cersei Lannister on the hit HBO series. Obviously, we are talking about a much younger version of the character played by Lena Headey. As for why we’re going to see a younger Cersei, we imagine that many fans of the book series will probably have a guess or two … but that is all we will say here other than that for the show to change its format, they have to have a very specific reason for doing it.

“Game of Thrones” has already concluded filming for its fifth season, so any further casting news that you hear will be for parts that have already filmed. The show will most likely return in either late March or early April, and by the end of the month, we figure that we will have not only a premiere date, and hopefully a trailer to go along with it.

Is there a part of us that wants to see flashbacks for most of the other characters, as well? Definitely, but we’re not entirely sure that there is even some time for that. After all, there are only ten episodes a year!
