‘Call the Midwife’ season 4 Christmas Special spoilers: Trixie’s ‘gift’

We are now a mere five days away from the “Call the Midwife” Christmas Special airing on BBC, and in the latest sneak peek below, we at least get a better sense that Trixie is ready … sort of.

Ultimately, this sneak peek is a case of good news and bad news for the character. The great news that she has here is that she has received a lovely gift of chocolates while manning the desk. However, she also receives at the same time a urine sample. Merry Christmas?

The BBC are traditionally pretty quiet when it comes to the spoiler front, and you can really not be too surprised that the same sort of thing is happening here. The biggest spoiler (if you can call it that) about the show is mostly that you are going to be seeing Vanessa Redgrave appear for the first time in-person, but the circumstances surrounding that are still for the time being rather unclear.

Personally, we feel like it is going to be a real opportunity to see how the show transitions into the era without Jessica Raine as a primary cast member. The pressure is obviously on, but it could give characters like Trixie an even greater chance to shine in the spotlight. Expect more from here, and we also anticipate Miranda Hart getting an even larger role due to her status as a rising star.
