‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 8 preview: A bizarre killing

ElementaryThursday night marks the winter finale for “Elementary,” and at the center of the story, you will see a case that has you raising all sorts of questions.

For example, why would someone shoot a man in such a brutal fashion when he was armed only with air bullets? Why was the killing needed in the first place? This is something that is seemingly examined in the sneak peek video below.

Honestly, the story of this episode we are more intrigued by is one that is not featured in this promo at all. Specifically, we are talking here a little bit about how Holmes is going to find out that someone is airing his dirty laundry from his recovery meetings online. Why would someone want to potentially embarrass him like this? The answer to that is simple: When your job is putting away as many bad guys as he has, you have to be aware of the risks that come with that.

What we want on this finale for than anything else is reconciliation of some sort between Holmes and Watson, or at least something to give us hope that the two will not be so apart from each other in the second half of the season. Ultimately, at least be relieved that there is not going to be a tremendous wait between seasons. The next new collection of episodes will begin starting on Thursday, January 8, one week after the start of the year.

As always, check back soon, as we’ll have more “Elementary” coverage.
