‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 6 preview: Mamie Gummer guest stars!
Right now has to be a good time to be a part of the Gummer family. Grace is in the middle of arcs on both “The Newsroom” and “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” and moving into next week’s new episode of “Elementary,” you are going to get a chance to see Mamie in a major role.
Want to know who she is playing? The next new episode is entitled “Terra Pericolosa,” and you can see some details in terms of what you can expect now below:
“Holmes and Watson search for a thief who committed murder to steal a rare map. Meanwhile, Watson becomes concerned with Sherlock’s escalating interference into Kitty’s burgeoning personal life, on ELEMENTARY, Thursday, Dec. 4 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Mamie Gummer guest stars as wealthy New York heiress, Margaret Bray.”
Ultimately, we really hope that this is going to be a fun episode, but to go along with that, we hope that there is something more from Watson in this episode. After all, tonight’s episode felt like a Thanksgiving dinner that Watson did not even want to attend for some reason. While it was a good case, it did not make for the most memorable hour of TV in the entire world.
The thing is that right now, “Elementary” does need to be hit with some shock paddles at some point in the near future. This show had some promise early on, but is really struggling to get the creativity going right now.

I think Elementary writers are stuck with the initial idea of Kitty as a sex victime and a nebulous character and now it’s hard for them to turn her into an exciting young partner for Sherlock. They must give her more interesting lines and a less lithurargic presence in the show. They must also stop making Sherlock look so geeky and unattractive. JLM’s looks add to the appeal of Sherlock’s genius. The chemistry between Watson and Sherlock is the lifeblood of this show, so they should always keep it in every episode as they did with the previous seasons. I also think that Mr. Holmes senior would add a bit more drama to the storyline, it’s time they brought a first rate actor in. Episodes such as the previous one, 5 should be avoided at a time when this show has to count on their rating.
