‘Major Crimes’ season 3, episode 12 preview: The problems in ‘Party Foul’

A New episode of “Major Crimes” is going to air on TNT come Monday night, and from the get-go, one problem is going to be extremely clear for the detectives at the center of this case: How in the world are they going to be able to find an attacker in a sea of suspects?

This is at the center of the story entitled “Party Foul,” which is going to be every bit as difficult as you would expect, based on the premise of the episode alone. We’re going to see a manhunt for a subject, and also a big story for Provenza to go along with it (even if there is a certain element of mystery around that right now).

“It’s all fun and games at a raucous teen party until two people are brutally attacked with a pair of scissors and the Major Crimes unit has their hands full picking the culprit out of the crowd. Provenza meets someone (guest star Dawnn Lewis) who will change his life. Kathe Mazur, Ransford Doherty, Spencer Daniels, Joey Pollari and Tiffany Boone guest star.”

The big thing that we hope to see on the show moving forward is success, since the show was brutalized pretty badly in the ratings for last night with under three million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic (per TVbythenumbers). This was the least-watched episode of the entire series, and we blame it somewhat on it airing on a competitive night, and maybe also not an adequate amount of promotion. There’s no other reason for a decline that big, when there were episodes this summer with more than five million viewers.
