‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: First Fleur East, Stereo Kicks, Lauren Platt song choices

Stereo Kicks -All of the remaining contestants on “The X Factor” are going to be performing two songs on the upcoming edition of the show, and thanks to that, we have a little bit of an early treat right now from ITV: Some of the first song selections, chosen by the audience.

With that being said, most of these are pretty awful, and don’t show a whole lot else in terms of what any of the individual performers can do.

Andrea Faustini, “Hero” – This is terrible. The whole reason he was in the bottom was because voters were starting to get complacent on him doing more or less the same thing every week. There is zero chance that this is going to change that for the better.

Fleur East, “If I Ain’t Got You” – We do not doubt at all that Fleur will kill this performance and then some, but that does not answer the issue of whether or not it is original enough.

Lauren Platt, “Don’t You Worry Child” – This is a good song, but we’ll like it better if it is a little upbeat and not just that stripped-down version we’ve heard many times before.

Ben Haenow, “Thinking Out Loud” – Another great, current song. The only problem is that it’s not entirely easy to do an Ed Sheeran song on this show and add your own vocal flair to it at the same time.

Stereo Kicks, “Run” – They’ve performed this song before, but it was in the early days of them as a band. This is a chance to revisit that.
