‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 9 preview: Coulson and the city; fear of death

Where is the story going to go from here on Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD“? Well, what we can tell you is that the show is wasting no time when it comes to getting us to the ancient city.

The next new episode is entitled “…Ye Who Enter Here,” and the good news here is that the series is not wasting a whole lot of time before giving us some of what we want when it comes to finding this location. However, at the same time there are some things to be extremely worried about, especially when it comes to whether or not every character will survive this hour.

In case you want to see some more “official” details via ABC, all you have to do right now is check out the official synopsis:

“SHIELD discovers the ancient city before Hydra, but uncovering the secrets may require one of Coulson’s team to make the ultimate sacrifice. Meanwhile, May and Skye race to get to Raina before Whitehall takes her.”

As for the promo below, it makes it clear that when the show returns (which is sadly not for two more weeks, and you should really blame Thanksgiving for that), you are going to have an epic showdown to end all showdowns, and also a search for the temple that could be the source of everything. Is anyone else getting a “Final Fantasy 7” vibe from all this? We certainly hope that no one becomes the Aeris of this situation…

References aside, it looks like we could be in for some great story moving forward.
